Inspiration comes to me in a various moments and ways, with a single shape, sound or color. And long before I can define an idea of form and content and let it come from obscurity to reality, I am fulfilled with the emotions of something just “happening”. My work is influenced by a wide variety of aesthetic traditions, with some of them, deriving from my European background. It is nearly impossible to cut them off from the creative process, so I am employing those subtle visual influences to share them with the viewers. My recent mixed media collages sketch a multilayered woman’s identity and personality that she shows to the outside world.
